24 Years of God's Blessings

October 29th was my 24th birthday party and it could not have been any better. The day before I was incredibly sick with a high fever, body aching, vomiting, and just felt terrible. My lovely boyfriend came over to take care of me and nurse me back to health. What I didn't expect to do was throw up all over him, my poor honey. I prayed to God that He heal me by the next morning so I can enjoy my birthday. Of course, as caring as He is, I woke up feeling amazing.

I get to work, not expecting anything grand, but walked in to see my desk beautifully decorated.

 

 

There was pictures of all of my favorite things...the show FRIENDS, Family Guy, and best of all the Chicago Bulls! I had a beautiful card filled with warm messages and wishes and a Dunkin' Donuts gift card (I run on Dunkin')!

 

I felt truly blessed to have such amazing coworkers that I can call friends. It has been 3 birthdays now that I have celebrated with my current company and each year old and new friends help to celebrate my special day.

When I got home I had a lovely dinner with my family, boyfriend, and his family. His parents and sister met my mom for the first time after we've been dating for 5 months now. It was quite interesting. We went to my favorite spot, Paisan's Pizza, to watch the BULLS game. We lost to the Heat, but what mattered most was that my loved ones were there to celebrate with me.

It was truly the most amazing day and much more than I could have wished for. My life has changed completely in the last 3 years alone, but I'm certainly glad it did because I would not be the woman I am today had I not gone through trials.
